Dr. Cate Collings M.D. MS, FACC, Dip ABLM

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Collings is Founding Director of Lifestyle Medicine for Silicon Valley Medical Development and El Camino Health in the San Francisco Bay Area. She serves as current President of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM).

Dr. Collings has dual board certifications in Cardiology and Lifestyle Medicine. She holds a graduate degree in exercise physiology, as well as professional culinary and coaching certifications. She received her education from the University of California, University of Wisconsin, and Stanford University Medical Center and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society.

Dr. Collings has over 30 years’ experience as a general, invasive, and imaging cardiologist. She has served in multiple capacities and leadership positions including Founding Medical Director of El Camino Hospital Cardiopulmonary Wellness Center and as a member of the ACLM Board of Directors for 6 years. As ACLM president, she is focused on guiding lifestyle medicine into mainstream medicine, scaling programs and practitioners nationwide, and bringing awareness to lifestyle medicine as the primary solution to address chronic disease epidemics through the lens of personalized and population health. Dr. Collings serves in other nonprofit board and advisory positions including with the True Health Initiative, the Physical Activity Alliance, and the Global Positive Health Institute. She has advised on digital health platforms to optimize clinical, coaching, and client engagement features.

Reza Yavari M.D.

Advisor

Reza Yavari M.D. is a Board certified endocrinologist trained at the Yale School of Medicine. As a Founder and CEO of Beyond Care® since 2000, he has been a leader in the field of lifestyle management aimed at metabolic disorders such as diabetes and obesity.

Dr. Yavari is a regular guest on national and local radio and television stations and lectures frequently to a variety of audiences. His efforts and his book titled It Must Be My Metabolism (McGraw-Hill) have been featured in the New York Times, the Yoga Journal, Shape Magazine, NPR, CNN News Live, More magazine, among other national press and media. His book titled Simulation Coaching together with an accompanied software app called Health Lifecards is available for health seekers who wish to self-coach to lose weight and reduce diabetes risk by means of therapeutic lifestyle change. In 2017 his efforts won him the prestigious “Solver” title at the MIT-SOLVE international competition.

Lisa K. Desai, Psy.D.

Advisor

Dr. Desai has over 25 years of clinical and administrative experience across delivery systems in college counseling, community mental health, hospitals, and private practice. In her current role at MindWise, Dr. Desai leads the development and implementation of behavioral health programs for workplaces and communities, with the goal of building psychologically safe environments and reaching at-risk and underserved populations. She oversees the MindWise behavioral health screening platform and regularly consults with partners across various sectors. Dr. Desai is committed to understanding and addressing specific, contemporary behavioral health needs and working collaboratively to expand access to resources. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and is fluent in Gujarati.
